Elevations, icons and lines: The city abstracted through is skylines
The website brings different bodies of my work together and seeks to facilitate cross-readings and counter-readings of ideas, approaches, and arguments. Each project group – Academic publications, Teaching, Presentations, Creative projects, and Networks – is assigned a colour from the end of the RGS colour spectrum. Taken together, they open a space for engaging with work that is not output-driven. Each project creates a column that is cut through with horizontal bands (not ‘live tickers’ but ‘past tickers for the present’) featuring related projects based on shared keywords. The resulting fragmentation of texts opens up opportunities for relating different ideas, approaches, and arguments in unpredictable ways, turning the website from a representational medium into a productive tool.
