Elevations, icons and lines: The city abstracted through is skylines
In the project for Agii Anargiri, we focus on three parameters that are relevant to any urban model for the future. The first is the relationship to transportation and the different hierarchies which organize different networks at different scales: a connected city. The second is the need for increased self-sufficiency in every urban development. We suggest a project that is more autonomous from an energetic point of view and that develops the capability of supporting new and changing social and demographical conditions: a more sustainable city. The third is the new relationship with the ‘natural’. In this vein, we design public and private space that reinforces the value of the existing green space and that opens up new opportunities in the relationship with the environment: a greener city.
