The aesthetic regime of fascist thought and desires

The aesthetic regime of fascist thought and desires

Exploring relations between fascism and urbanism through the lens of aesthetics, how can an investigation of Fasc-Urban-ism decolonise aesthetic theory and escape an organismic conception of 'the city'? In this talk, I make an attempt to critically engage with and unlearn the concepts of an aesthetic theory that was developed in the eighteenth-century European Enlightenment as a project that explored the conditions of possibility for universal human subjecthood and, in so doing, created civil, liberal, and anti-revolutionary subjects.
